This Saratoga “contemporary / transitional” style remodel and addition is situated on a very steep hillside with great south and west views. I wanted to design an interesting way to extend the roof overhangs to reduce the high solar gains without requiring heavy blinds or sacrificing the incredible views of the valley and bay.
